Assists Administrator in administering and directing all operations of the facility
subject to all relevant rules and regulations. Has accountability for policy
administration and interpretation and overall management of the facility in the
absence of the Administrator.
Assures the highest degree of quality care is provided to residents at all times.
Is administratively responsible for all activities, programs, services, and employees provided by the facility.
Represents the facility and corporation in all meetings, internal and external; across all lines of communication.
Responsible for the quality and integrity of all aspects of the facility:
Delegates administrative authority, responsibility and accountability to other staff personnel as deemed necessary and/or appropriate to other personnel.
Maintains an excellent working relationship with the medical profession, other health-related facilities and other organizations through formal/informal networks or other agreements.
Seeks out new state of the art methods/principles; evaluate for success and incorporate them into existing practices, cultures and/or programs.
Keeps abreast of nursing and medical practices/procedures, as well as, laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to long term care facilities and insures compliance.
Assists Administrator in holding monthly communication meetings with all staff.
Assists in the preparation of yearly budget and capitol needs.
Assists Administrator in overseeing ancillary departments.
Education and Experience: Minimum Bachelors Degree
