Provides home health aide education and focused training for the organization at our Monmouth County location.

Responsibilities

  • The Staff Development Educator responsibilities include:
  • Participates in the CHHA training classes as needed.
  • Instructs in the Abbreviated Beginnings classes as needed.
  • Acts as clinical resource.
  • Develops and oversees monthly education calendar.
  • Researches best practice for home care/hospice and educates staff.
  • Plans orientation of staff and participates in performance improvement activities.
  • Develops and implements the home health aide certification class as set forth by the Board of Nursing.
  • Oversees and develops a mentor program.
  • Participates in infection control and educates staff conducting surveillance required.
  • Works closely with manager to communicate unresolved issues or concerns.
  • Demonstrates job flexibility.

Qualifications

 

Qualifications include:

  • Current NJ RN License and CPR Certification
  • RN, BSN or be currently enrolled in a BSN Program
  • Minimum of 5 years recent clinical experience
  • 1 year of Certified Home Care experience
  • Oasis C Certification or certified within 6 months of hire
