We are looking for a hands-on Network Engineer to design, install, support, and grow our network infrastructure. You will be part of our Network Team of engineers who are responsible for developing a state of the art, reliable, scalable, and highly available network architecture that meets Hackensack Meridian Health's growing needs.
Design network topologies and systems that best solve today’s challenges using latest technologies available. Configure and install various network devices and services, with attention to detail that conforms to best practices and policies (Routers, Switches, Wireless Controllers, Firewalls, VPN Gateways). Perform network maintenance and system upgrades. Monitor network systems and proactively resolve potential issues to ensure system availability and reliability. Monitor system resource utilization and trending for capacity planning. Troubleshoot and resolve networking incidents. Provide high level support for daily operations.
Four plus years of working experience as a Network Engineer or Network Architect. Working knowledge of the following network technologies: BGP, OSPF, vPC, Etherchannel, Spanning Tree, QOS, RADIUS, TACACS+, IPsec, SMNP, IP Subnetting, 802.1q trunking. Working Experience on Cisco Catalyst and Nexus networking equipment. Fundamental understanding of network technology in a multivendor environment that includes Cisco, Nortel, Avaya, Fortinet, Aruba, Ciena, or other best of breed systems. Experience with Nexus 9k and VXLAN a plus. Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience. Cisco Certification a plus.
