The Site Security Manager is responsible for the management and operation of security personnel and the overall security and safety of medical center employees, patients and visitor.

Responsibilities

Leadership -  Provides leadership and direction to security team members. Directs facility’s security staff in the enforcement of security procedures for the protection of people and property. Selects, trains, orients, and assigns roles.

 

Security Subcommittee-Provides effective leadership, chairs required meetings, maintains documentation and uses performance improvement techniques to achieve and maintain measurable gains in the security of the medical center.

 

Security program - Plans and establishes a protective and preventative security program. Reviews existing security system and monitors changes in technology to enhance or improve security operations.

 

Security management program  - Conducts quarterly security surveys and makes recommendations as  needed. Prepares annual Security Management program and submits same to medical center safety committee.

 

Policy and procedures - Develops and Maintains department policy and procedure manual. Makes recommendations for medical center policies to assure a safe and secure environment. Educates staff and implements policies effectively.

 

Law enforcement agencies - Establishes a liaison with law enforcement agencies and cooperates closely with them as needed.

 

Investigations - Inquires, reviews and investigates all security related incidents affecting the security of the Medical Center. Reviews security incident reports to identify trends; develops strategies to reduce losses.

Qualifications

  • Five plus years management experience required.
  • Prior law enforcement and emergency preparedness experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required (Bachelors Degree preferred)
  • Valid NJ Driver's License.
  • NJ SORA required (If you do not already currently have it, you will be expected to get it within 6 months).
