At Hackensack Meridian Health, our CT Technologists are focused on changing the lives of our patients by providing the highest level of care each and every day. The CT Technologist is responsible for providing diagnostic procedures under the guidance of the Radiologist. Our complete spectrum of Imaging services will allow you to apply your skills in multiple settings while building your career all within New Jersey’s premier healthcare system.
The CT Technologist is responsible for direct Patient Care of In, Out and Emergency Room patients in the performance of both routine and complex CT examinations. These exams are done under the supervision of the Radiologists. The CT Technologist will be utilizing different CT scanners as available in the performance of both contrast and non-contrast exams. Post processing of exam data acquired is to be expected on a daily basis. All aspects of radiation safety, injection practice safety and general patient National Patient safety goals will be employed at all times. The CT Technologist will be responsible for ensuring that the proper exam that was ordered fits the departmental protocols. Appropriate documentation of all aspects of the care provided is essential. The use of the various computer systems utilized in the hospital include but are not limited to PACS, RIS Clinical ordering pathway, Emergency Room and transportation will be employed on a daily basis. Communication with the Radiologist as needed depending on situations and protocols as well as policies will also be expected.
[Minimum education] Graduate of accredited School of Radiology required.
[Minimum work experience] A minimum of 1 year of CT experience is required. (preferably in a hospital setting)
[Desired work experience] Two or more years’ experience in a hospital/trauma setting preferred.
[Required licenses/certifications] NJDEP license and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required. Current BLS/CPR certifiaction as well as CT certification required.
