Overview

This is a position reporting to the Manager, HR Support Services (HRSS), this position is the initial point of contact providing complete front-line support on questions related to HR policies, practices, benefits, compensation, tuition, or to resolve issues.   Striving for an exceptional customer service experience the HR Admin – Team member Support Representative is the central hub for HR related inquiries.  This role will also be responsible for data audit and control items and completion of forms necessary to supply outside agencies with appropriate information on current or previous employees.

Responsibilities

  • Answer all HR inquiries (calls, emails, fax, etc.) related to benefits, compensation, general employment, etc., meeting or exceeding SLAs or customer expectations.  For inquiries that require additional research, follows up with team member to update on status of inquiry. 
  • Effectively addresses inquiries and provides accurate and timely responses where possible without compromise to service and quality. 
  • Process corrections and data changes to Lawson and/or carrier sites per inquiries to Support Services hotline and HR Benefits mailbox.
  • Complete data audit functions to include correction into Lawson and carrier sites where needed.
  • Provide requested information where appropriate to internal and external clients. For example: Zurich, Unemployment DOL, Death Claims, NJHA Life Insurance and Reliance Standard LTD EOI Updates, etc.
  • Responsible for printing and sending out team member correspondence and mailings.
  • Administer LOA payment processing for benefits.
  • Prepare and send Long Term Disability and Waiver of Premium packages.
  • Track, communicate results, and update Lawson for Benefit Appeals.
  • Collect, sort and distribute HR Support Services mail.
  • Participate in systems testing where necessary.
  • Assist HR Support Services Manager in collecting and analyzing information for the successful progression of the HR Support Service Center and integration of new projects.
  • Provide backup for Receptionist position; may be requested to backup other areas of the Support Services Team as needed; Other duties and or project work as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years related HR and/or call center experience preferred; familiarity with HR policies, procedures and programs
  • Strong customer service and phone presence skills required.
  • Strong computer skills required, especially Microsoft Office products and HRIS systems (Lawson a plus).
  • Ability to independently manage workload, analyze information and make decisions.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks/priorities.
  • Able to troubleshoot issues to resolution with diligent and timely follow up skills.
